A Little About Me
I have been practicing therapy since 2010 after graduating from UNC Charlotte with my MSW. As a born-and-bred North Carolinian, the coast has been my long-time home, though I have a deep appreciation for the mountains and forests of Western NC. Outside the office, you can usually find me leaning into my other passions—herbalism, homeschooling, gardening, and lately crocheting (hyperfixations and random hobbies abound around here!).
I believe therapy should be practical and empowering: we work to address whatever isn’t serving you, create meaningful change, and then help you graduate from therapy and get back to living your life (though updates, success stories, and catch-ups are always welcome). I strive to build a therapeutic relationship rooted in genuine trust and honesty—a judgment-free space where you can speak freely, including telling me if something isn’t working so we can pivot or find a better fit.
A Few Core Beliefs I Hold:
- Ted Lasso is absolute perfection.
- Pets offer some of the purest connections on Earth (find me a human who gets that excited when you return from taking out the trash!).
- Dirt and herbs can genuinely improve your quality of life.
- Spirituality can never fit into a single box.
- The world would be a radically better place if kindness outweighed the love of power.
